We are incredibly proud to celebrate Natalie Sanchez, an eighth-grade student, for her outstanding achievement in the VFW Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest!
- 1st Place – VFW Post 9972 (Local Level)
- 1st Place – District Level (representing 6–7 local VFW posts)
Because of her exceptional writing, Natalie will advance as a district finalist and will be traveling to Phoenix on January 10 to attend the State Awards Ceremony.
In recognition of her hard work and talent, Natalie received:
- $300 for the local post first-place award
- $300 for the district first-place award
This is a remarkable accomplishment and a true reflection of Natalie’s dedication, voice, and perseverance. Her entire Elgin School family is incredibly proud of her and excited to celebrate this well-earned success.
