Our Community

We're located in Santa Cruz county. We are a ranching community. With that comes rodeos, patriotism, the 4-H fair, and the strong feeling of belonging to an extended family throughout the community. If you're a resident, you already know how amazing our town is. If you're visiting, we know you'll love it here as much as we do. This page has some of the Sonoita-Elgin stand-outs.

Arizona National Scenic Trail
This trail is a non-motorized path that stretches 800 miles from Mexico to Utah, and it runs right through our valley. If you’re an avid outdoor enthusiast, you’ll love finding out how to responsibly enjoy what the Arizona Trail has to offer.

Wine Country
We’re home to several wineries. Sonoita vineyards began producing more than 40 years ago, each one producing unique vintages reflecting the attitudes and personalities of their owners. The trade has quickly grown, and today we offer some of the best wines outside of France.
